My name is Mokheseng Mojalefa an artist coming from a small town in the Free State called Clocolan. Like most artists, my passion for art started when I was young and I have been improving ever since, from taking client commissions and submitting conceptualized art for competitions. In 2019 I took my abilities further and studied visual or fine arts at the Central University of Technology from then till 2022 where I unfortunately did not get a chance to graduate due to unforeseen circumstances.
My work mostly is in form portraiture and that is from taking client commissions where I generate my income to buy art supplies and support my family and me, in these commissions I specialize in art mediums of pen, pencil, and paint whereas in my contemporary art, I practice mixed media in a sense of trying to experiment with medium and see how they blend well together, currently I haven’t found me signature style which is why I am always exploring, learning and working with different mediums.
I am a full-time artist now working hard to get my work out there whether submitting to competitions or promoting it on social media and through that I am improving, I started submitting my work to the new breed art completion in 2019 which I did not get selected, 2021 and 2022 I got selected as one of the finalists which was one of the biggest highlights in my career.
